HVAC design:
from CAD to BIM
I created the architectural model, analysed thermal loads, selected mechanical equipment, and completed the HVAC design in AutoCAD.
My contribution
The worksheet records 14 rooms, cooling loads in TR, BTU/hr conversions, areas, and equipment-selection notes. It also includes an area-based comparison; this is a preliminary estimate, not a substitute for a detailed load calculation.
My scope covered the architectural Revit model, thermal-load analysis, equipment selection, and the full HVAC design in AutoCAD. The drawing includes duct, exhaust-air, diffuser, and mechanical-equipment layers. Mechanical modelling in Revit is the next stage and is not presented as complete.
